For Sale - 3M Model 79 Analog Multi-track Recorder/Reproducer, 16-track, 2"

This is a 3M Model 79 2-inch multi-track recorder/reproducer. It was probably built in the 1970's. It runs at 15 and 30 i.p.s., plus there's a vari-speed mode for both. The 16-track head stack is relatively new (4 - 5 years) and the unit has been regularly aligned/maintained/repaired by a professional tech. The machine is in 100% working condition, except for a few bulbs. It comes with a full-function remote and the manual, which has the operating instructions plus the service manual w/ alignment procedures, parts lists, schematics and PCB layouts.

Inputs and outputs are XLR.
